My name is Julien, I was born on 05/03/1990 in Verviers in Belgium. My fascination for adventure has started when I traveled to Thailand. My experience among a family living in the poor countryside area called Isaan gave me the desire to carry other journey. During my stay, I also spent a part of my Thai life on a boat as diving instructor.

Then, in regards to my studies in Sainte Marie Helmo (Liège), I went to Bolivia with Miel Maya Honing NGO. The goal was to achieve a market study about the following topic “the possibility to export the bolivian honey to Europe under the fair trade label”. This experience was, without any doubt, the richest of my life. I lived a real adventure as I had always dreamed. From the high plateaus of the Andes to Amazonia, I went to meet several honey producers communities with which I learned to live in harmony with nature. I spent my last month with an Amazonian community with whom I learned the basics to survive in the jungle. I felt in love with this place. All this journey gave me the idea to create the project “Cycling-Togeth’Earth”

End of 2013, I decided to go to Australia with the ambition to work and to save money for the project. I met Alexis in Canberra, where we spent the major part of our stay. Half of my time was dedicated to work as removal man. I also launched my own business in gardening and landscaping.

My Hobbies

Mountain Bike (competition for one year), alpinism, diving, trekking, Cross-fit, travelling, nature, biodiversity, cultural exchanges, self-journey, kayak, history and geography.
